Liverpool Town Hall Wedding

Photographing Zoe and Jonathan was such a joy, from their engagement shoot back in April to their beautiful wedding day. It really felt like I got to witness a special part of their love story. We started with a shoot at Formby Beach, where Jonathan surprised Zoe with a blue diamond ring—it was such an emotional moment, and capturing them hugging in tears was just beautiful. On the wedding day, they got ready at The Municipal Hotel. Zoe wore a traditional red dress for the tea ceremony, where they served tea to their elders and received blessings and red packets—it was such a meaningful part of the day. The ceremony took place at the stunning Liverpool Town Hall, full of character with its crystal chandeliers and beautiful artwork. Guests had travelled from Hong Kong, Sweden, and London, bringing together such a lovely mix of cultures. The celebration continued at Love Lane Brewery, which has a great industrial vibe, with high ceilings and open space that gave everything a relaxed, modern feel. One of my favourite parts was seeing traditions come together—the Chinese tea ceremony and the Swedish kissing tradition were both so unique and full of heart. It’s those little moments that make a wedding truly unforgettable.
