Liverpool Town Hall Wedding
The first time I walked into Liverpool Town Hall, I didn’t know where to look. Honestly, every corner is so stunning, I couldn’t take my eyes off anything. I’m always amazed at how well historic buildings are preserved here in the UK, and this place is definitely one of the finest 18th-century town halls still standing. With so many gorgeous rooms, it’s a dream venue for weddings. Over the past six months, I’ve had the chance to photograph a few weddings here, and each couple came from a different country. I love celebrating love across cultures, and it’s always a joy to capture these special moments. Here’s a little peek at what makes weddings at Liverpool Town Hall so magical.

In the dressing room, everything feels so elegant — vintage furniture, sparkling crystal chandeliers, soft light everywhere. It’s where the bride gets ready, checks her makeup, and shares quiet moments with family and friends while the guests are arriving. Those small, intimate moments are always so full of emotion.

Then comes the exciting part: the bride walking down the grand staircase. I love capturing that mix of nerves, excitement, and anticipation just before she the ceremony. Those fleeting moments always make for some of the most emotional photos of the day.

The ceremony itself is incredible. Surrounded by family and friends in the grand rooms, couples exchange their vows beneath Georgian interiors, historic murals, and magnificent chandeliers. Tears, laughter, and “I do” moments feel even more special in a space like this.

After the ceremony, guests often move to the East Reception, a bright, spacious room with a grand ceiling, where everyone can relax with drinks. It’s a lovely spot for couples to catch up with their guests and enjoy a few lovely moments together.

Liverpool Town Hall is also a photographer’s dream setting when it comes to portraits and group shots. Even after shooting here multiple times, I’m always finding new spots for unique and beautiful pictures, both inside and around the building.

The Large Ballroom is perfect for receptions, holding over 200 people. Couples can have their first dance, celebrate with everyone, and enjoy the magical atmosphere of the grand room. It’s hard not to feel a bit like royalty in such a stunning space!

I absolutely love photographing weddings at Liverpool Town Hall. Every wedding feels special, every couple’s story is unique, and the building itself just adds so much charm and elegance. It’s a place I never get tired of, and I can’t wait to capture many more love stories here.
